We’ll be in Madison again on Saturday (It should be noted that there are rallies through out the state if you’re in Wisconsin and can’t make it to Madison). I’d really like to make it to the Sunday rally, but we have to take some time off for the kids’ baptism at church.
Rally-wise, here’s what I know so far:
Saturday: Rally with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers at 2:00pm at the Capitol.
Sunday: Noon Rally at the Capitol. The Americans for Prosperity and Tea Party folks will also be having a rally at an “undetermined” location that same day…not that I’d ask you to go there.
As for passing a resolution calling for the Wisconsin Senate Democrats to be brought in with or without force? Jim Palmer, head of the WPPA has something to say about that:
Politics aside, encouraging the forcible detention of duly elected lawmakers because they won’t allow you to dictate with a free hand is an unreasonable abuse of police power,” said WPPA Executive Director Jim Palmer. “Due to the fact that Wisconsin officers lack any jurisdiction across state lines, does Senator Fitzgerald intend to establish a ‘lawmaker border patrol?’ The thought of using law enforcement officers to exercise force in order to achieve a political objective is insanely wrong and Wisconsin sorely needs reasonable solutions and not potentially dangerous political theatrics.
Oh, and one last thing for today…I’m hoping you’ll be praying for peace along with me…and wisdom, Breitbart would like nothing better than to trump up false controversy just like he’s done multiple times before.
