The continuation of this project and a testament to the fact that sometimes it’s worth it to take something apart and start over.

  1. Well, a seam ripper can be a quilter’s best friend. Better to redo it now than push to finish it in its original state and then regret it. BTW, a very belated thanks for the idea of mango salsa. I had a mango to use up and some very uninspiring tilapia to cook. The salsa made it all work.

    • Oh, I’m so glad you found the mango salsa inspiring! I’m not a huge fan of fish, but I think a little mango salsa would go a long way towards improving it. We ended up having ours with the Thai Steak Salad and it really made the dish!

I agree that it can be a good friend which is why I’m glad I replaced my tiny little one with a much larger and easier to use ergonomic model.

  2. I am very close friends with my seam ripper.

    • I’m just too lazy to use my seam ripper – hence the rotary cutter. Well, that’s not entirely true. I’ll gladly use my seam ripper for a piece or two at a time, but for an entire project? Uh, no.
