I’m not everyone’s cup of tea.
I’m wordy. Some might say I ramble.
I’m passionate, but I prefer to avoid conflict and debate.
I spend most of my time with three small children – which for some visitors may give the impression that I’m starved for adult attention.
I try to be honest and leave the door open for others to disagree with me and go their own way.
I gave up on certainty and Christianity a long time ago. I have a degree in the Bible from a big name Evangelical Bible college so I’ve heard it all, read it all, said it all, wrote it all, argued for it all, and otherwise tried to live it all already. I’m not interested in your witness or why you hold the “only way” to a god I don’t find all that loving or just.
I maintain a proselytization free zone and err on the side of universalism. If you’ve found a way of approaching the Divine that works for you and allows you to feel a connection with however you may envision “it,” then please feel free to continue as you were. I have no interest in convincing you otherwise. I do, however, ask that if you live in my neighborhood, city, county, state, country, or world that you maintain a certain degree of decorum. I expect that my neighbors will do their fair share to maintain the civilization that we all enjoy. If your faith tells you otherwise, then this is the one instance that I reserve to tell you that you’re wrong. I find that morally reprehensible. No one got to where they are today without the help of someone else.
And finally, everything contained here is only my opinion and should not be construed as advice of any kind (medical or otherwise). For that please seek out a “qualified healthcare provider” and/or expert of your choosing.

I had no idea you were another fallen away evangelical. Maybe we should form our own “church.” I know my family still prays that I’ll return to the fold, but I prefer honesty to unquestioning faith that seems to have been decreed by some “my way or the highway” men.
